Meetings and Events Houston was on the scene to cover the recently held Equality Texas’ Houston Merry Martini Mixer event at M</span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">omentum Audi on Richmond. The event, hosted by Alex Martinez of A Flair Event Productions, was a great success with more than 300 attendees who celebrated Equality in 2009 by enjoying signature martinis from the open bar.<br />

Equality Texas is a statewide political advocacy organization working to advance the cause of equality for all Texans. The Equality Texas Foundation conducts research and educates Texans about issues of equality and helps to coordinate efforts of LGBT and allied organizations across the state.</span>

Meetings and Events Houston celebrated the second edition of its magazine at the new House of Blues (HOB) Foundation Room. G</span><span style="font-size: 12px; font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;">uests included a combination of meeting planners and current and future hospitality partners. <br />
<br />
The newly opened HOB’s Foundation room was the perfect setting not only to celebrate the success of Meetings and Events Houston but an opportunity for meeting planners to meet their prospective hospitality partners. <br />
<br />
Food and drinks where superb and supplied by the House Of Blues and many of the attendees took advantage of the opportunity to tour not only the Foundation room but all the other amenities that the HOB has to offer to the Houston meeting planner community.<br />
<br />
Meeting Planner Resources’ the publisher of Meetings and Events Houston, second issue was well received and includes many enhanced features, including more localized editorial content, an easy identifier for listings that were updated or are new as well as new programs for increased distribution both within the greater Houston Region as well as beyond.<br />
<br />
Some of the new features that are being added to Meetings and Events Houston in 2009 will be a convention partner program, allowing out of town trade shows exhibitors who will have satellite meetings in Houston during their tradeshows to take advantage of our guides.<br />
