Entertainment for the Corporate Set
The area surrounding these malls is a thriving commercial center bordered by the West Loop on the east, Woodway Drive to the north, Interstate 59 to the south and Yorktown Street to the west. Technically, the Galleria Mall is within those borders, but when people refer say the “Galleria Area” they often are referring to not only the Uptown District but also to a much wider expanse that includes the businesses lining a number of major thoroughfares and freeways. The larger Galleria Area includes many of the popular bars and restaurants that line Richmond and Westheimer for miles to make up the Uptown Business District, which is the 17th largest business district in the country.
