Located in the North Houston suburb of Spring, Texas, Augusta Pines is characterized by Baby Bermuda grass fairways, undulating TifEagle greens and 30 acres of lakes framed by tall pines. A par-72, 18-hole course, The Battleground opened in 1996. Whether looking for a simple golf outing or an elaborate event, The Battleground is a complete golfing facility that specializes in tournaments and corporate outings and offers a demanding championship layout designed by Tom Knickerbocker. PGA professional staff and event specialists are available to coordinate every detail of an event from computerized pairings and scoring to personalized cart signs, scorecards, rule sheets and tournament result scorecards.

Although one of the Houston area’s pricier options, seasoned golfers looking for a true challenge amid beautiful scenery will not be disappointed by BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress. Noted as one of the top public courses in Texas and often considered the most difficult in Houston, visitors flock to BlackHorse to experience the game like a pro on its two 18-hole courses with beautiful greens and mature vegetation. The superior course layout often requires careful consideration and poses challenges for golfers of all skill levels. BlackHorse Golf Club offers four types of Unlimited Play Golf Memberships: individual, family, executive and executive plus, but visitors also can enjoy the pro shop, the driving range and fine dining opportunities.

Champions Golf Club was founded in 1957 by Jack Burke, Jr., and the late Jimmy Demaret. Since the beginning, Champions consistently has carved its place in golf history by hosting prestigious events, such as the Ryder Cup Matches in 1967, the U.S. Open in 1969 and the Champions International. The Cypress Creek course was designed by Ralph Plummer and opened for play in 1959. With more than 70,000 trees, wide fairways and enormous greens, it remains one of America’s premier tournament sites. Widely considered one of the best public courses in the country, Memorial Park Golf Course has been ranked Houston’s best value course and the most walkable, drawing an estimated 60,000 golfers annually.
