The surroundings and dress code are casual at Ciao Bello, yet the food is anything but. The pastas are made from imported flour and bottled water, and while there are many on the menu, the osso buco ravioli is a standout with its light meaty flavor and rich porcini sauce. The huge, thin-crust pizzas are also first-rate, from the delicate marguerite to the seafood pie studded with crab and shrimp. In fact, the seafood here is as good as the pastas.
What was once a hole-in-the-wall eatery with tasty dishes from Guatemala and Mexico, El Pueblito Place has morphed into Houston’s hottest tropical paradise since the couple turned a parking lot into a patio paradise with cabanas, banana trees, tiki torches and a rock waterfall.
