Even three long decades later, the nostalgic memories of Berryhill’s tender tamales thrived in Houston. Then, in 1993—with the purchase of the original tamale recipe, cart and tortilla press—the Berryhill name was reborn on Houston’s Revere Street as a little taquería lovingly named Berryhill Hot Tamales. Finally, Berryhill’s legendary tamales and salsas were available again, and people lined up to enjoy them.
